Equestrian Trails
Trail Update
A number of the equestrian trails and access to these trails have recently been upgraded to ensure safety for all users of the trails.
The upgrades have included the following:
- Equestrian trail signage has been installed at the cavaletti entrances on Uriarra Road, Cotter Road and Mount Stromlo Road.
- Orange trail markers have been installed on the equestrian trails.
- Installation of a bridge to de-conflict between the Downhill MTB track and the equestrian trail.
- Grading of trails to flatten and remove any dangerous material such as rocks, branches, etc.
- Upgrade of the equestrian and Fire Trails around Blugums.
- Regular upgrades of culverts, ensuring safety to users and providing adequate drainage.
- Improvements to the Holden’s Creek crossing, providing better access, a safer and more environmentally friendly crossing point and better gradient for horse riders using the trail.
