wednesday 7TH MARCH 2012
Stromlo Forest Park update
All mountain bike trails at Stromlo Forest Park will continue to remain closed until at least next Tuesday March 13.
Last week’s heavy rain resulted in significant damage to trails that need to be repaired. While there are many trails that did not suffer damage, they do need further time to drain and dry out. The decision to keep the mountain bike trails closed has been made in the interest of rider safety and also to prevent further damage to infrastructure.
The cross country running track also remains closed and a decision will be made later in the week as to whether it will reopen for the weekend. This decision is largely dependent on the weather conditions over the next few days.
On a brighter note, cyclists are again able to use the criterium.
Please contact Territory Venues & Events for further information on (02) 6256 6700.
MONDAY 5TH MARCH 2012

The Stephen Hodge Criterium Circuit and Robert De Castella Running Track have now been re-opened. The MTB trails will remain closed due to damage from the excessive rain, until further notice.
